Peter Chechele, LMFT
I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist in California, and I've been doing this work for more than thirty years — including about two decades at Kaiser Permanente before opening my private practice. I was also an early advocate for online therapy, long before it became commonplace.
Before we talk about strategies or solutions, I want to understand who you are, what matters to you, and what brings you here.
What it's like
Sessions with me feel like a conversation. You talk about what's on your mind, and I listen closely, ask questions, and try to understand what things actually mean to you.
I stay curious rather than assuming I know the answer. Sometimes the most useful thing I can do is notice something you've been too close to see, or ask the question you haven't been asking yourself.
You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on. We can start with where you are.
